About Propello

We learned growth the hard way, so you don't have to.

Since 2011 we have worked on one problem: good businesses that buyers never hear about. Now we join up your marketing, sales and service in HubSpot, so your pipeline grows every month.

What we believe

Good companies shouldn't have to buy their growth twice.

Most growing companies restart their growth every month. We call it the Reset: marketing, sales and service run on separate tools and separate numbers, so nothing one team learns reaches the next.

Every reset costs you three times: the budget you spent, the leads you lost, and the months it takes to rebuild. We think growth should keep what it learns. That is what we mean by Compound Growth.

Where we started

  1. Fine PromotionsPromotion
  2. A tech company2011
  3. Business networkMaun

  5. Fine MediaAdvertising, then Facebook

Each venture rose and fell back to the start. Propello is where the line stops resetting.

Fine Promotions to Maun

Every founder story we studied had the same chapter.

In documentaries, in interviews and in conversations with business leaders, the struggle was always the same: getting the story out, and getting the market to understand what was on offer. We set out to understand that problem, and started a promotions company, Fine Promotions, to solve it.

It taught us that promotion is downstream. We believed we were giving clients value, yet we couldn't get through to the market ourselves. Cold calls didn't work. Introductions didn't work.

In 2011 we started a technology company with big ambitions, and the problem became clearer still. Internet access in Botswana was low, and reaching customers was slow and expensive. If we were struggling to be heard, other businesses had to be too.

So we started a business network in Maun. Once a month, local businesses met to work together and to learn what the businesses around them offered, instead of bringing it in from other regions at the cost of longer deliveries and slower sales.

The network confirmed what we suspected. Businesses of every size and type had the same problem.

The Brand Shop and Fine Media

Advertising that never told us what worked.

Next came The Brand Shop, now Brandesis, to make brand storytelling something any business could use. Then Fine Media, to work on the strategy behind it.

Fine Media started in traditional advertising: billboards, transit ads, flyers, newspaper ads and our own travel publication, the Trav Heir Advertiser. It showed us that this kind of advertising was built for big companies, and even they struggled to run it. It was slow, and it never told you what worked.

When one of our events drew a thin crowd, we tried Facebook. We could see who responded, change the message mid-campaign and spend where it worked. The events filled up, and reaching each customer cost less every time.

None of this was one person's work. Every venture had its own people, and each team added a piece of what we know today.

03

Propello

A system that compounds.

That work opened a new way of thinking about growth. Digital could adapt as fast as the market, cut the cost of winning a customer and learn from every campaign. The way forward was a system that compounds.

So Fine Media became Propello, a Go-to-Market Agency. We connect strategy, marketing, sales, service and technology into one system that learns from every cycle.

It is our answer to the problem we set out to understand all those years ago: helping good businesses get their story to the market, and keep what they learn.

Our promises

Three promises we make in every engagement.

  • 01

You see every number we see.

The same dashboards and reports. There is no private version.

  • 02

Every recommendation is tied to a pipeline figure.

If we can't show what it should move, we don't recommend it.

  • 03

    You own your HubSpot portal.

And everything we build in it, from the first day to the last.

How we work

Three steps, then every cycle builds on the last.

  1. Diagnose where your growth resets.

We audit your data, funnel and CRM to find where leads, deals and customers leak.

  2. Connect your go-to-market in HubSpot.

Strategy, marketing, sales and service on one platform and one set of numbers. A system only compounds when every team works from the same data, so HubSpot is where we build.

  3. Compound every cycle.

We measure what happened, learn from it and make the next cycle stronger.

  4. The first HubSpot Partner Agency in Botswana.

Some clients already run HubSpot and want more from it. Many start on it with us, from spreadsheets, scattered tools or a CRM they have outgrown.

The team

A lean core, backed by a trusted network.

Propello runs on a small remote core team, with specialists brought in project by project as the work demands. You get senior judgement on every engagement and exactly the skills it needs.

The core team owns strategy, direction and every client relationship from end to end.
